Why Irish pantry goods deserve better
Share
Irish food is having a bit of a moment.
Across the island, something quietly extraordinary is happening. Seaweed salt from Kerry. Miso from Mayo. Sambals, syrups, oils and pickles being made in tiny kitchens with big ambition.
At Made with Grá, we’ve been lucky to taste our way through some of the best Irish pantry products out there, and what we’ve found is worth shouting about.
There’s no shortage of talent. There’s no shortage of flavour. There’s no shortage of grá.
What’s happening in Irish food right now
We’re seeing a new wave of Irish producers who are creative, conscious, and deeply rooted in place. But despite all the energy and innovation, many of these products still don’t get the attention they deserve.
The challenge for small producers
For small producers in Ireland, getting noticed isn’t easy. It’s hard to compete with long-standing brands already holding shelf space in the supermarkets. There are no big television campaigns or prime-time ad slots. Just word of mouth, exceptional food, and a lot of hard work behind the scenes.
Our point of view at Made with Grá
We believe Irish pantry products should feel as good as they taste. That means modern packaging. Proper provenance. Big flavour. The kind of thing you’d be proud to gift — or keep all to yourself.
Made with Grá is our way of celebrating what’s already here and helping more people discover it. We’re creating a space for small-batch Irish producers to be seen, supported, and appreciated.
What’s inside the grá box
Our first product is the Grá Box — a limited-edition collection of five incredible Irish pantry products chosen with care. No filler. No spoilers. Just good food, made well.
Only 50 boxes will be available when we launch.
